6 Things Only Nigerian Politicians Are Capable Of Doing – These PHOTOS Will Leave You Speechless

Nigerian politicians are one of a kind and they would go to any length to get the masses to love them.

Apparently, being a politician in Nigeria is very lucrative and that is why they would do anything to get into power and remain there.
Even if they have to ride commercial motorcycle (okada) or eat at a local restaurant, they would.
Aside the everyday verbal war between the ruling party and the opposition, Nigerian politicians sure know how to get the public talking about them. They have a way of showing that they are identifying with the masses.
We all know lobbying exists everywhere, but Nigerian politicians sometimes take theirs to another level. They would do anything few months to election so they can get the peoples votes. They will become very generous sharing bags of rice and other things. After the elections, they forget those who voted for them.

1. Dancing Shoki:
During the election campaign rallies, it was a trend for Nigerian politicians especially those from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to do the ‘Shoki’ dance. It was like the trending dance at that time. This attracted the attention of Nigerians who could not help but talk about their politicians dancing skills.

2. Wearing school uniform:
Governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola, and his deputy Otunba Titilayo Laoye-Tomori caused quite a stir when they visited one of the schools in the state, dressed up in school uniform.

3. Using commercial motorcycle:
While campaigning in 2014, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun state, Iyiola Omisore had been spotted on a motorcycle (okada). This however did not go down well with commercial motorcyclists, popularly called Okada riders. They described the photograph as a fake, saying he was trying to fake identifying with the people.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state was spotted on a motorcycle, dressed in a T-shirt and a red pair of shoes, heading for the inauguration ceremony of the new state assembly along with new lawmakers.

4. Roasting and eating corn in public:
Ahead of the August 9, 2014 governorship election in Osun state, Omisore had tried to identify with the masses. There were picture of him with roasted corn, a popular delicacy among the masses.

4. Billboard of handshake with foreign president:
Shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari and his delegation returned from a trip to the United States, a billboard with the picture of Governor Rochas Okorocha, in symbolic hand shake with President Barack Obama while president Buhari watched, surfaced in Imo state.  The billboard which described those captured as the “new faces of change,” quickly sparked negative reaction. The governor however denied having anything to do with the advert.


5. Sweeping the road:
In 2014, former governor of Kano state, Rabiu Kwankwaso, led his state officials to sweep off the immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan’s footprints shortly after he left Kano after a party rally.


6. Jumping Fence:
Several members of the House of Representatives made headline in 2014 after they scaled the fence of the National Assembly to gain access to the complex. They had been stopped by security agents from gaining access but they showed that they can’t be stopped as they possessed climbing skills.

A bridesmaid struggling to get over a break-up while all her best friends were getting married died when a 'cry for help' attempt to take her own life accidentally succeeded, a coroner ruled. Ghanaian actor,  Majid Michel , has always been associated as the ladies man because of the roles he plays in most movies, but the actor who is happily married for the past 11 years to his wife, Virna, is not the bad type of husband. The actor, whom in some quarters has been perceived to be a womanizer, has denied sleeping with any actress in movies or ever engaged in extra marital affairs. Majid, who has accrued lots of respect for himself stressed that he doesn’t engage himself in those stuffs because he respects the vow he made to his wife. “Ladies don’t admire me, they admire the characters I play.
