They Think Raping In Yoruba Is Foul And Disgusting, Yet Am Getting Rich Off It.

If the name Remilekun Safaru doesn’t ring a bell, definitely, Reminisce should.

He is a popular indigenous rapper. The Yoruba budding music star has come out to declare that though people term his indigenous rap music as foul and disgusting music, he doesn’t really care because he is getting rich off it.

“I don’t think anyone has given indigenous rappers any chance, we took it by ourselves. We just decided among ourselves that we need to make people know what we have to offer. Indigenous rappers own the crowd. Let’s be very honest with ourselves, how many people can speak good English in this country? It’s about the audience affiliating with the artistes who speak their language. It’s not about calling indigenous rappers razz and local. More people want to be razz now; they think razz is the new cool. Luckily for me, I am selling razz music and I am getting rich off it. “

The Alaga Ibile star also said that his voice is what sets him apart from every rapper. “I think it’s my voice that makes me different from any other rapper. My voice is my strong point, nobody sounds like me”
