Eto’o’s Ex-Girlfriend Gets 6 Months Jail Term For Stealing His ₦4.4m Rolex Watch

According to the new report, court in Yaounde, Cameroon, has sentenced Nathalie Koah, the former girlfriend of footballer Samuel Eto’o to 6 months in jail for stealing his Rolex watch which was said to worth over N4.4m.

Eto’o had accused Koah of stealing his Rolex wrist-watch, with the court deeming it “improper retention” and giving her the jail sentence. The jail sentence is however suspended for 3 years. Koah was also asked to pay 12.7 million CFA Francs to Eto’o, the cost of the watch.

Eto’o was however found not guilty of charges of coercion and blackmail filed by Koah. It’s yet another blow for Koah, whose book Revenge p**n, based on her 7-year relationship with the prolific striker, was banned in France and Cameroon.

As part of activities for the continuation of the 15 days funeral rites of late Benin Monarch, Oba Erediauwa, residents in Benin kingdom have been told not to cook with fire on Sunday 5th June. It is the day of Igberimwin in the royal funeral rites programme. A press statement signed by Secretary to the Benin Traditional Council, Mr. Frank Irabor said the cooking without fire was in accordance with Benin customs and tradition.
