– Mike Odiachi’s death follows those of popular Yoruba actor Arakangudu and Dede One Day.

Former Actors Guild of Nigeria president, Segun Arinze, has announced the death of popular Nollywood actor Mike Odiachi. He died at the General Hospital, Ikorodu on Monday, February 15, 2016.

Odiachi, who hails from Asaba, Delta state, was married with children. He featured in a number of Nollywood movies including Prophet of Doom. His most acclaimed role was in Igodo where he was buried alive.

Mike’s demise is coming just as the industry is still mourning the demise of two bright stars, Peter Onwuzurike known as Dede One Day and Sikiru Adeshina popularly called Arakangudu.

The late Mike Odiachi was often typecast as a king or an elder in movies.

Nigerian Instagram comedian, Ereme, this afternoon, revealed that he's facing a hard time and he is considering suicide. Apparently he'd spoken to actress Toyin Aimakhu about this before. She shared two videos on her Instagram wall, tearfully making a passionate plea for him not to commit suicide. Quote "If you can see this..please I beg you..I spoke to you few days ago..don't do this. I know its not easy. No Cooking With Fire This Sunday in Benin City Due to Funeral Rites ofthe Late Oba

As part of activities for the continuation of the 15 days funeral rites of late Benin Monarch, Oba Erediauwa, residents in Benin kingdom have been told not to cook with fire on Sunday 5th June. It is the day of Igberimwin in the royal funeral rites programme. A press statement signed by Secretary to the Benin Traditional Council, Mr. Frank Irabor said the cooking without fire was in accordance with Benin customs and tradition.
