HEART OF GOLD! C. Ronaldo Donates His Whole £600K Champions League Win Bonus To UN Charity

When we think of selfless, philanthropic athletes, Cristiano Ronaldo would probably be the last one to come to mind. His public image is that of an arrogant, prima donna, who, even on the pitch, cares about no one but himself.

Yet, he was named the most charitable athlete in the world last year, and now, reports indicate his entire bonus for winning the Champions League with Real Madrid has been donated to charity.

Cristiano Ronaldo took the winning penalty as Madrid beat rivals Atletico to win their 11th UEFA Champions League crown.

Cristiano has donated his bonus for the triumph, believed to be in the region of €600,000, to an NGO charity.

Spanish journalist Pipi Estrada has told Defensa Central that Ronaldo has opted to donate his Champions League win bonus, €600,000, to an NGO charity.

Ronaldo's recent philanthropy comes after a season where he scored 51 goals in 48 games and won his third European Cup medal. Ronaldo continues to defy expectations both on and off the pitch.
