The group warned the Nigerian Military, international and indigenous oil companies to watch out for “something big.”
The warning was contained in a statement issued yesterday by the group’s spokesperson, Col Mudoch Agbinibo.
“To the IOCs, indigenous oil companies and Nigerian Military, watch out, something big is about to happen and it will shock the whole world.”
The group had last week blew up gas and crude oil trunk lines belonging to the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and Chevron Nigeria Limited.
Following the success the group claimed it had recorded in its operation, it has announced the promotion of its fighters, who carried out the attacks to the rank of Brigadier-General.
It said, “The high command has rewarded some brave and courageous soldiers of Avengers and promoted them to the rank of Brig.General.”
Recall that the group had earlier in the month issued similar warning before embarking on series of attacks.
It had said: “This is just the beginning and you have not seen anything yet. We will make you suffer as you have made the people of Niger Delta suffered over the years from environmental degradation, and environment pollution.”
