The Nigerian authorities disclosed January 29 that Boko
Haram would purportedly use male bombers and livestock (goats, cow,
donkeys and camels) to launch gruesome attacks.
According to the Federal Government, the suicide bombers will be allegedly disguised as shoe repairers for the missions.
The Coordinator of the National Information Centre, Mr. Mike Omeri, was quoted as saying by Vanguard:
“Available intelligence reports indicate a plan by Boko Haram to use young male suicide bombers disguised as cobblers to hide explosives in their tool boxes and detonate them on soft target areas such as markets, restaurants, ATM locations, political rallies, worship centres as well as other public places.

“Also, there is indication of a plan by this group to use
livestock such as, goats, cows, donkeys and camels laden with explosives
to attack chosen targets.”
Therefore, Omeri recommended those operating around the mentioned areas to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects and activities.
Omeri also noted that for safety reasons security men might arrest people who take their livestock to city centres for grazing.
Earlier this week the Nigerian security detained and took into custody a suspected Boko Haram bomb maker and his nine accomplices in Potiskum, Yobe State.
It was provided by the unofficial sources that the major suspect had been working as stonemason and water vendor, which ensured an effective cover for his real activities.
