A controversial video has been circulating online on the election day, showing the alleged mass rigging in the North, organised by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The first reaction of the Nigerians was quite predictable. They took to various social media to lament that nothing has been changing in Nigeria for years.
However, many attentive citizens doubted that the video belongs to the present.
The INEC acted as an arbiter, provided a clear explanation via its official twitter handles. Apparently, the video showing illegal actions was taken back in 2011.
Why? The answer is simple:
Please ignore the “rigging video” currently circulating the web. That video was in circulation in 2011 and that is not an INEC ballot paper

This is what the INEC ballot paper looks like and not what is contained in the video. #SpotTheDifference pic.twitter.com/qz4v87E1H2

According to the latest announcement by the commission, voting resumes tomorrow at the polling units that failed to conduct it during this day.
