Guinness World Record: Couple wed With 100 Grooms Men And 130 Bridesmaids | Photos

Radio DJ Alex Simmons and his bride Amy Ewing broke two world records after tying the knot with 130 bridesmaids and 100 grooms men at Rudding Park in, Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

The British celebrity tied the knot with 230 friends in attendance, the couple’s marriage was a Double Guinness World Record, beating ‘Most grooms men to one groom’, (previously at 47), and ‘Most bridesmaids to one bride’, (which was 126 before). The ceremony was held on February 22, 2015.

Both records which are the first to be attempted at the same wedding and in the UK, have been lodged and approved by the Guinness Book of World Records.

No Cooking With Fire This Sunday in Benin City Due to Funeral Rites ofthe Late Oba

As part of activities for the continuation of the 15 days funeral rites of late Benin Monarch, Oba Erediauwa, residents in Benin kingdom have been told not to cook with fire on Sunday 5th June. It is the day of Igberimwin in the royal funeral rites programme. A press statement signed by Secretary to the Benin Traditional Council, Mr. Frank Irabor said the cooking without fire was in accordance with Benin customs and tradition.
