My Job As The First Lady – Buhari’s Wife [MUST READ]

His 5th daughter came out to say something about him earlier (Here) and General Buhari’s wife also has something to say too.

She was present at the Inaugural meeting of the APC women presidential campaign initiative held in Abuja yesterday, Saturday 24th, and she made a statement reacting to the promise of her husband to scrap the seat of the first lady because it is unconstitutional and it’s allegedly being used to steal public fund.

She said her job as the first lady when her husband is elected, is to fight for the rights of women and save the lives of children…

Her statement:

“When my husband is elected as the president of this country, he will rule the country within the rule of law based on the constitution of the country. If the office of the first lady is constitutionally recognised, he will not tamper with it, but if it is not that’s okay. For me, I will perform my duties and role as the wife of the President of Nigeria traditionally. Wives of presidents have some traditional roles, like receiving guests, visiting orphanages, helping the less privileged people. They also lead in the fight for the right of women and malnourished children, infant mortality rate, kidnapping and girl-child trafficking” (NAN)

No Cooking With Fire This Sunday in Benin City Due to Funeral Rites ofthe Late Oba

As part of activities for the continuation of the 15 days funeral rites of late Benin Monarch, Oba Erediauwa, residents in Benin kingdom have been told not to cook with fire on Sunday 5th June. It is the day of Igberimwin in the royal funeral rites programme. A press statement signed by Secretary to the Benin Traditional Council, Mr. Frank Irabor said the cooking without fire was in accordance with Benin customs and tradition.
